If you power break to much is that goin to kill you breaks faster. When i power break and start from 1500 rpm is that goin hurt my breaks or is that not enough power to really do anything. thanks a lot

It's not the brakes your putting the strain on, it's your transmission that your cooking. Power braking generates lots of heat in your tranny. Heat is your transmissions worst enemy.

what.. you think you got a turbo supra or something? Maxima's hve alot of power down low.. the torque off the line is friggen amazing.. unless you are running a single turbo .. really on need for you to get up to 3000 - 4000 rpms on start

You auto boys hav a 4k stall convertor?

Turbo in an auto would be crap for good launches because (i'm guessign the stall is between 1800 and 2200 so if you hold the brake down and hold the gas also then you're not going to laucnh anywhere near 3 to 4k

Now, 5spd folks can launch whereever they wish...

Power braking won't hurt your brakes, but your TQ will cook that fluid VERY quickly. Your brakes will be fine, but your tranny will be "Well Done"

Why would you want to do it anyway?

I power braked a couple times, and it only kicks quicker but its not any different from flooring it.. Just more wheel spin

Do not push the gas so far down.. it is a science.. takes practice to find what RPM works for you best
