They will outlast the life of any car. >>

Since there is no filament, the only way it could blow is if there is a leak in your housing and cold water contacts it while it is on. Once the glass cracks, the Xenon gas will leak out.

You can replace these bulbs...at a high cost.

But if it should blow, you weep and wail for a while and shell out at least $100 for a new one. At least, that's how much they are on Acura TLs....

approximately 30,000 hours.. more than the life of most car/trucks on the road. $100/each for a replacement.

HIDs should last you a very long time. The HID retrofits like Phillips HID or Bosch HID carry a limited lifetime warranty for worksmanship. I have a friend who is currently using a set of 9006 Phillips retrofit and the color is awesome.
