Want to see what a bad y-pipe flex section will do to an 11 psi manual 5th gen?

Yeah, I tried the 5 threads left without the hex nut and it was too tight, BOV didn't go off. With 5 threads left with the hex nut seem right, BOV goes off. Thanks for the suggestion btw. I'll be sure to listen from now on.

Sad to say, but no I didn't feel any decrease in performance during city driving even though the hp curve was about -25 whp at one point (vs. automagic 288 whp dyno).
Guess I need to recalibrate my butt dyno.

It could be that since now you're 5 speed, it feels just as fast your 4speed auto cuz of the difference in gear ratios...

Having different gear ratios will not affect power if we're dynoing at 1:1.

Manual with 258.49 hp at 5800 RPM and 240.49 tq at 5300 RPM vs my old auto results you had. Thanks!
I think I beat him to it hehe. Here is a screen shot of the info since I didn't feel like typing it out http://www.geocities.com/nismo87se/1...o_vs_5spd.JPG.
. Basically the 5spd gets owned, from a roll it only gets worse.

I knew gearing isn't an issue, but had no data to back it up.

hey Kev,
Sorry I couldn't get to it over the weekend. The woman had me all tied up (not literally
) doing misc stuff so Ari beat me anyways
Oh well. Are you planning on redynoing with the fixed flex section + SC before you take it off? If so I'll just wait for those numbers (no sense in duplicating Ari's work). If not I'll just run it based on what you should have been putting down (320-340ish)

Projected date of when the SC comes off is October 12, 2002... so the dyno will be before that.
