Good Deal? Need your input.

I appreciate all of your input. I am looking at a 2002 Maxima Se. It has sunroof Leather and all options, with 20k miles. The dealer wants $21k. Good deal or what do you guys think would be a fair offer. Thank you----Jon

I think it would be a good price except the mileage is very high for a 2k2. To give you an example, my '98 has 65k and it's been on the road more than 4 1/2 years. imho the high mileage is your bargaining power--that's almost a 2 yr old car based on the mileage, but not quite. So negotiate as if it were 2 years old and it will be to your advantage. I think 18.5k would be a good price for you, but that means you have to offer about 17. Or, you could skip all the BS and go for a stripped 2k2 SE and then you can be sure it's worth the full 21k. Good luck.

I have been doing research dude. The problem is that I am hearing conflicting responses that don't coincide with kbb and edmunds. Not to mention those two websites aren't even close. I figured you Max junkies could help me out since you are owners. But apparently not.
