Belt Size for Vortech 3.125" Pulley

My friend told me to post on this site. I have a 6rib 3.125" pulley from Vortech and want to know what size 6-rib belt I need and where I can order it online or what major automotive stores have them.

Thanks!

I did a search previously to asking the question and could only find out that the 3.33" can use the stock belt. I couldn't find anything about 3.125" but I'll look again.

I can already tell this guy's a ****

Yeah I saw that one, I did my search for belt AND size and only searched topic titles and did not come up with that one.

Courtesy told me they don't have it in stock and FleetPride doesn't carry them at all anymore.

The guy at courtesy told me to pick it up locally, any 705mm, 6rib belt. Hopefully the idiots at pepboys can find one.

What gates belt are you using with the 3.125 midget?

I'm installing one and I'm wondering if my current K060705 belt will fit or should I go down one size.

Also, Vortech has some links on their site and one is a place called Auto Specialities. I called and they will make custom steel coated aluminum idler and tension pulleys to replace the composite pulleys that came with the kit. I'll feel better with these pulleys since I'll be running 12 lbs of boost. Vortech said If a bearing locks up for just a second under high boost the plastic pulley will self destruct!

If anyone is interested, you can also get the pulleys at $85.00 a piece plus shipping and a donation 0f $5.00 to help defray the $65.00 that stillin charged me for the plastic pulleys to send to auto specialties. I must know very soon because it takes 3 weeks to make them! All money must be paid in advance, no hemming and hawing This is cheap insurance for people running high boost.

The belt will cost WAY less than that if you went to a local Napa store. I can almost buy 2 belts for that price.

We dont' have Napa's here, I did a search for Gates and found one local retailer but they're super expensive as well and would also have to order it, and if I have to order it I'd rather just have it shipped to my house.

Unfortunately, only when I used to goto Cali would I see Napa's, I don't see them anywhere else I travel.

I really appreciate the help and advice though.

Guys, do you think upgraded injectors are needed for a 2.87" pulley? Or could I do without an injector upgrade?

dont forget to dremel down the middle stub/screw hole, else your belt will RUB OFF on it!!!! poor design on the bracket!

Like Kev stated above NAPA belts are Gates belt flip the carton over and read it. The belt number is K0605705, if is wrong Kev will corrct me. If you did your own pulley swap hoped you shaved down the plate that holds the V2 blower

That's what Matt suggested to me.

So I guess it's a green light for me to get the 2.87" pulley.

Something that is suggested versus something that is a necessity are totally different.
