Who did it? Are you talking "fatal attraction" ****?

I would say try not to claim it, alot of times your comp is higher than your collision, like $500 vs. $200. If it's not that bad, not down to metal, maybe use some cleaner/wax or polish to get as much out as possible. You can't really do that much--I saw an older style S500 all keyed up and all the owner did was touch up the scatch marks, looked awful but what they gonna do? Vandalism should be severely dealt with, not treated like a joke the way it is now.

Vandals

As soon as I saw the thread my heart sank, I am really sorry about your car getting raped. My advice would be to look at your deductable and weigh whether your cost of repairs is going to be significantly higher than this, if it is, then you may want to claim it, but people seem to agree that your rates will go up, I would talk to a representative about it and get their advice, as well as the cost to benenfits.
Again I am real sorry for the frustration and helplessness you feel. My car got hit in a parking lot not to long back and I know the feeling of wanting to hit somthing, but not knowing who it was. First off though I would get Meguirs scratch remover, or GS27 from walmart and see if that will take it off, or at least make it look better till you figure out what your going to do. Good Luck

I wish more people would grow a sack and just confront their problems to someones face.

If you're a homeowner, claim it there (i.e. car was parked in the driveway). When I contacted my insurance company for a similar claim, the first question they asked was where was the car at the timeframe. Since it was in my driveway, homeowner's is where it was covered. My homeowner's stayed the same after the claim.
