I have a bit of a problem with my max in that when ever it rains and i have been driving my car it gets pretty funky inside. I think i have narrowed the smell down to water off my shoes getting into the carpeting and making a mildewy smell but now how do i fix it (i know that not getting in with wet shoes is the obvious thing, but not practical for me because im always on the go)....any other ideas as to what is causing the funk?

spray the floor down with lysol or any other disinfectant, leave the door open for an hour or so to air it out. then get floormats.

 

didja forget to take the body outta the trunk again?!

 

Whenever I take my car to a do it yourself car wash I always soap and powerwash the floormats.

 

i have floor mats but they are the ruggedy carpety kind athat came with the max...guess i should have claified that....never have thought to clean the mats at the car wash though(DUH!!!!)....good call
