Some people think Ingen cai draws cold air:
from some of the posts I've seen, people think that Ingen will suck in cold air because the filter is sitting behind the radiator.
Someone said that when the radiator fan starts spinning it will have the same effect as a PR Cai because the fan is drawing in air from the outside
Do you all have any idea how hot it is behind the raidator?
ESPECIALLY when the fan is blowing?
The air from the fan is the air that passed through the HEAT EXCHANGER!!
Open the hood up and stick your hand in behind the radiator WHEN the fan is blowing.. See hot the air is

like I've said before, someone needs to stick a thermometer at close to the air entering the TB as possible. Then we'll have data.

one advantage of Injen is no cutting though...thats good for guys who don't plan on keeping their car forever!

I don't think taking a measurement as close as possible to the TB really matters.

yeh dont u think the people who built our cars know about this stuff? in my opinion, the stock air box works very well. my sisters 92 max has a lot more jump down in lower end. i think those filter intakes add a little imaginary hp if u ask me.

check out a dyno. it will show you for sure how much "imaginary" hp you are gaining.

Injen
Anyone who has installed an Injen on their 2k2 knows that there is no question there is power gain from 4000 rpm up. And the air filter actually sits below the radiator. Not directly in the path of the air. Airflow through the VQ engine bay is very good. AFter getting home from work the other night when it was 47 degrees, my Injen pipe was cool to the touch and so was the intake manifold. Plus if you wrap your intake with header wrap or other insulator, you don't have to worry about the pipe being "next to the hot tranny".
