Exhaust Hangers and plastic ties

I'm not sure if I read it on the .org or not. But can plastic ties be used around the rubber hangers to stop aftermarket exhaust knocking under wheel hop?

you zip tie around the rubber hangers to stop them from making the muffler jump all over and bang on your bumper
