my rims are 18" and are scratched and i was planning to paint them to match my car color....i was wondering if it will hold up to the abuse? my idea was to powdercoat it, then paint it to my car color with a lot of flex paint and a zillion coats of clear!!!!!! freaken nYc got more potholes than all the city's holes combined...

I had mine painted with Nissan paint, and they have held up perfectly. I had the same shop colormatch the wheels on my previous car, too. You need to have them painted professionally for best results. The original silver paint needs to be stripped first.
