Creativity in video's

I know some of the maxima owners put out videos of their max. However, how about doing something like these people did with their, ahem car. Go to here to see the video: http://lada.haisee.com/leffa/ladaraider.mpg Even though this is a parody. I was actually thinking of doing something like this with my Maxima. It would be totally awesome to do something like this with the theme from Knight Rider in the background. If anyone else does something like this, go ahead. We maybe able to turn it into one of the Maxima sites and get it featured. My Grey Luster Maxima would do great in this heh heh. Tell me what you all think.

BTW. I am one of the Biggest Knight Rider fans. Ever since I was 6 years old in 1984 I loved knight Rider. And I watched it in syndication until about 1993 when it went to cable. We need cable tv station to broadcast Knight rider. Kiddies these days, don't know what they are missing. Thank god there is a Knight Rider video game coming out this fall.

That video was awesome! That'd be cool to see someone do something like that with a Maxima.

LOL! I remember those Lada's on my trip to Russia a while back. Not a car i'd like to own even by a long shot but it's a pretty peppy little car and in Moscow traffic a good sized car to have (e.g. there's really no such thing as "lanes" and courtesy over there, you drive like your life extremely depended on it)

yeah its photoshopped, i had this idea a while back, i thought they should have kept the lettering on the back, I have no idea why the changed it. It was a unique part of the maxima ever since 89, but for some reason they felt they needed to feature a license plate. I was thinking with the money some of the guys here put into their cars someone would have tried it, but so far no takers.

I wish I had some more funny video's, the only ones I have that are remotely funny are some old Nissan Commercials.

Finally I meet someone who is a big of fan as Knight Rider as I am! I have 3 or 4 tapes full of Knight Rider episodes that I taped when I was young. And it still comes on cable here in Toronto...every Saturday at 1AM on theNewVR (channel 20 in Scarborough).

I used to watch it since I was 4 or 5 years old back in late 80s early 90s..and have been watching it since.

And I will have a late 80s/early 90s Trans-Am that will look like KITT!

I probably will do something like this as soon as I can hook up a camcorder to my computer for digital editing. It would be interesting to see some of the other members of the org do something like a knight rider. I may even get a scanner for the front to copy the intro better. Only problem is I live in Baltimore and there are not many areas where I could do this like I would want to do it. Also my back end is damaged and needs a new bumper for the back. I think someone like the BigSadler who is used to doing videos like this would do it more justice than what I could give it.

Why would you want to copy that video exactly?

Find another theme song or another TV show and be creative and make your own video. It doesn't have to have your Maxima driving through some muddy field.

Am I the only that thought that that video was a waste of my 5 minutes? It was amusing I guess and the song track was ok, I mean, I'm as big of a fan of Knight Rider as anybody else, but that video wasn't anything special. Once I finished watching it, I deleted it.

All you need is a camcorder, a capture device (which can be as cheap as $80), Adobe Premiere, and some mp3s, a little creativity and you can make a great short movie.

And don't forget skill to make the video look good.

Eh ... I think creativity and skill somewhat go together, but not always. It didn't look like the guys that did that video all the greatest skills in all the world, you know? Imagination can go a long way and can make up for lack of "skill".

Besides, we have enough people on the Org to critique (flame) your video when you post your first short movie.

Well maybe not exactly skill, but I still have to learn how to use premiere. I remember a while back I made a clip, but my friend actually edited it and everything.

Premiere is actually very easy to use. And I'm not sure, but I think there is a Visual Quickstart book for Premiere. The Visual Quickstart books are awesome. Takes you through all the basic functions and teaches you how to do basic stuff. They're available for most programs.

Besides, it's just a comptuer program ... the more you fool around with it, the more you'll learn and pretty soon, it'll be like second nature.
