I think

The major advantage is that you can adjust the ride height on Coilovers, whereas on springs, you're pretty much stuck with just the one height.

I've heard.....

here and there on many BBSs that the current 3rd gen rear suspension setup somehow prevents this, but I'm not totally sure since I've never gotten a clear answer. but as for now, the only real alternatives to this are air shocks! UDS quoted me $1500 for a manual control air shock kit which isn't bad considering the current price of coilovers for other cars. I'd consider them(if I had the cash!) but, I'm just wondering about the performance quality I'd get out of them on 1/4 mile runs also!?

Re: I've heard.....

Yeah it would be pricy but being able to adjust would be great.

Some of the main advantages of the Cattman Coilovers are that you can adjust the height and the ride very easily. The main disadvantage is that its pretty darn expensive. If you're going for coilovers, save up for the Cattman's instead of the GC's

Besides height, another advantage is the KYB

AGX's - adjustable struts.

Cattman vs GC's

What's the difference between the two? I've heard good things about the GC's and all I've heard about the cattman's is people *****ing about the price. That'd mean there's nothing wrong with em, but for $1500 US, heh. That's almost half a supercharger =P

You have to buy your own struts for the GC's, Koni's would be the only good choice but then you can't externally adjust them. GC also uses eibach sprints. Cattman's come assembled with KYB AGX shocks that are externally adjustable, and Carrera springs in whatever stiffness you want.
