Udp?
Udp?
Sorry for the double post. I thought this may be a better forumn. The directions say that it will take 5-7 days for the ECU to adjust to the lighter pulley. 1st impressions are both good and bad. First off, the car fly's through the rpm's much faster, thus giving a feeling of faster acceleration. Second and the bad, you couldn't tell my 2k2 Auto was running while stationary and after the UDP was installed there is a slight jiggle when stationary. Doesn't matter if it's in drive, park or neutral. It's a tad more jiggly when the heater and A/C are on. Is this normal? Will the ECU correct this? What could be the problem?
Re: Udp?
When i installed my UDP, I didn't notice any more of a jiggle. When i installed my Y-pipe, my car seemed to idle a little lower, which caused a jiggle. But, I could get rid of this by turning on the AC or putting it in N. So, your problem sounds different. Mine was dependant on idle speed. I haven't had the problem you're talking about.

Re: Udp?
I'm into the second day of having my UR UDP installed. I just noticed tonight that my idle is slower when I was at a traffic light. It was spinning as low as 650 rpm; I thought that previous to the UDP, it was spinning as low as 750 rpm only. No jiggle.

I remember when I put my UDP on. My rpm didn't change all that much. I think you are just being more conscience about your idle speed since you are trying to install the UDP. Let us know if it starts to dip below 550.

LOL.. lemme try that again... 650 rpm while in gear, sitting still is normal. As soon as you put it in N, the rpm should go back up to about 750.

Squeeling noises usually indicate loose belts. Have you tigntened them? The will stretch after the initiall installation.

My problem was the gas I believe. I started using Shell that week and that was when they changed their formulation. I started using Amoco and the jiggles went away. I tried Shell again and the jiggles reappeared, so it's Amoco for me!
what rmp is a stock max suppose to idle at?? My idles around 400 but that might be worng cuz I have idiglo so theres a chance that my indiglo gauges may be off from the stock. I don't really notice any jiggles though.
o technically I'm not stock, I have intake and ypipe but i don't think that should make that much difference.
