I traded in my 91 GXE after nine years for a Toyota last year when
the current 255 hp engine was not yet available for the 2001 Maxima.
I traded that Toyota recently for a 03 SE because the Maxima is a lot of value for its price. I will keep my 03 Maxima for a long time. I still have a 87 SE that I bought back in 87.

I just got this one
and being on my 3rd car, all 3 of which happened to be maximas.. in 3 years, I think I'll finally settle down for a little longer.. this one is a 5 speed, this one has higher miles, but I think I got a good deal on it and it just isn't worth selling it because I can't even think of another car at the moment that will give me what the Maxima does for the money, which is a good looking, practical, reliable and pretty fun car. I will just keep it and do a few things to it to keep myself happy... I can definately see myself owning a 2k2-2k3 in the future though, when the value drops to 10k, which should be around 2k4 .. but that will be the last maxima I will ever own..

you can't keep it forever. cars loose value
people's financial status changes, they grow families, need different cars, need slower cars so their wives can drive them etc..
I am still a bit amazed how many teenagers and early to mid 20s members we have here...

Let's not forget all those "old" people that can afford the flashy or fast cars and drive them like 4-cylinder Accords.

Blizz, I've been looking at cars for a few months now. I decided that the Maxima wasn't REALLY what I wanted, even though I love alot of things about it. I am trading off some things for the Camaro, but for me it's worth it. To each their own. It's not as sharp looking right now as my max is, but it's not staying stock!
Finally crossed the line into the world of torquey rwd, eh? RWD in general has been on my mind from time to time lately, but with all the crap that can happen out on the roads anyway, and our long winters (read: at the least, gravel is on the roads forever, if not snow/ice), I don't think I could pull the trigger without a winter beater.

Good luck with the Camaro...I wouldn't worry too much about the "sharp looking" on a camaro, but that's just me.

Until you tailgate them and they bust up on you like the guy with the Benz in Lost Highway
