What a little monster

I know its not Max related, but i just wanted to see ur opinions on this car.
The Dodge Neon SRT 4 did put down to the wheels 223WHP and 250WTQ in stock form, with a weight of 2883Lbs only!!!!!!. Three magz did test it..... one of them ran 14.2 at 99.5.... The other one C&D ran 14.2 at 102...... The third one Automobile ran 14.0 at 102!!!

Whats up with everyone underrating their Acutal Hp. I know its just a Neon, but it is one fast stock Neon. Mopar have three stage kits for this car already which will boost its HP to 300. I dont know if thats crank or wheel, but i guess its wheel since they are going to change the Turbo for stage II and III.

Here is a full test of the car from C&D magz:

yea..they're fast...but it's still an ugly a$$ Neon....and like our maximas over here, it will be forever plagued by it's FWD.

Who cares?!?

That car is in no way comparable to the Maxima.

Perhaps you were looking for a domestic car site?

Did i say compare it with a MAX. I was just sharing the info about this car, since i did the same with more than 8 sites. Just looking for opinions.

Plus it is not final yet. before actual production it could lose power or other benefits it has right now to stay in certain price ranges or meet certain emmisions etc. For example during those tests it had no mufflers, that might not make it to the final stages etc.

Why all the sarcasm? it was just a post. The arrogance of some owners....perhaps this was intended for people like you

To me, it is the American WRX. Yes, it is awesome because it's fast, but none-the-less ugly and unreliable.

This is the final version. It will have no muffler. Since three magz did test three different cars, i think they all have stock versions not a concept or something like that.

I'm quite sure that post was not intended for me. This is the MAXIMA forum, so when a guy who's SN contains LS1 writes about a Dodge, it makes me think that maybe he's in the wrong forum. Besides, all I said was that the Neon was in no way comparable to the Maxima. It's not arrogance, it's fact. A Japanese,mid-size, V6 sedan compared to an American, compact, I4 two-door. The cars are not in any way related. At least the post about the Mazda 6 is about a car in the same class as ours. Don't get me wrong, the Neon is interesting, in that it's one of the first modern, affordable, American hot rods. I just think that it's a little OT for this forum. Otherwise, why not start a few threads about some other cars that are completely different than ours? Let's see... Toyota 4-Runner... Ferarri 550... Kawasaki Ninja 600... Bigfoot. <--- See... now, that's sarcasm!

I'd buy one. Seriously.

It looks like a fun zippy car... and the styling is not too bad either.

I would paint it red, white and blue and slap lots of stickers on it, and drive through some muddy puddles for that "rally" look.

Turbo cars are so much easier to make faster, with turbo cars you get so much more out of mods

You never know until they actually hit the lot. Lots of things change before full production.

well considering it is already boosted, it is not too impressive, if you boost the Maxima with stock engine and trans vs. the boosted Neon stock, we can kill it! I do not fear all these little new cars, like that new mazda, cause we are all motor and they are boosted...when we boost, they die!

for the price and performance of this compact car, i think it kicks@$$. wat else can compare to it? sure our lil bro, the specV is also nice, but it wont keep up with the neon.

but with 223whp and 250wtq and weighing in at 2800+lbs this thing should be in the 13s

Thank you. Dont worry i ignore posts like that . I'm registered at more than 20 forums so i like all cars and i dont have anything against any car. I did post the same thread on more than 8 forums. I just give credit where its due when i see something like this SRT beating the hell of alot of cars and saving up around 10K. To let u have an idea of how fast this car is(topend), it ran to 120mph in 20sec while the MACH 1 ran to 120mph in 19.5sec. So its .5sec behind the MACH 1 which has V8 32v 10.1 C/R(Went up from 9.85 for the Cobra320HP) and close to 335-345HP with 3.55 gears and solid axle!!
