Engine Code 0705

I have a code 0705. The Code reads (EVAP system leak.) I have search high and low trying to trace the hoses from the EVAP Canister with no luck. Not only have I not found the canister but also I have check and double-check all of the vacuum hoses under the hood. I did find one hose that was off from a line under the throttle body to the CAI, the hose was replaced and rest the ECU, but I got the code back today so problem is still there. Anyone ever had this code or similar problem? It a 96 Without California emissions stuff.

Thanks

I believe the EVAP canister is on the driver's side behind the rear wheel. It looks like a black box of sorts with a spout coming out for any collected water. That's where it is for a 2K2 at least. Hope that helps.

Make sure your gas cap is on tight.

Check the tubes coming out of the evap canister. If there loose it'll throw off that code too.. It's like right behind the left side rear wheel beam..

Now to find the leak is there a common place where the hose tends to break or come lose?
