Shows that Zs are fast but I would have hoped that it could have gone much more than 130. Any stock max can do that.

The 350Z seems to be quite fast for a land vehicle without warp capabilities.

"The Highway Patrol resumed the pursuit and reached speeds of 130 mph, with the Nissan still pulling away, Haywood said. "

that's how fast the highway patrol was going (130) and the 350Z was still speeding away! it must have been doing 140+....

Mad props to whom ever did that, the car is obviously a 3.5, has two hundred something horse power why shouldnt it keep on rolling past 130MPH, we got some max owners with nuts that go beyond 140MPH, Sprint, Baggs and the list can go on.

So he got away? I'm surprised if he did. No matter how fast the car is, you can't outrun the cops. They got too many weapons to hunt you down. That's why if I ever get into a bad situation, I wouldn't run from the cops, probably make the situation even worse.

You say it like it's hard to hit 130 mph and run from cops.... Any crazy idiot can do that.. there are a lot of cars that can hit that speed and are capable of pulling away from Crown Victorias.. or whatever cars they are using..

The driver ran 100 yards from the car and hid in the sand. Troopers arrested him without incident 10 minutes later, two hours after the chase began.
The man, who was alone, said he was from California but carried a Colorado ID. He was booked into Sevier County Jail.

honestly, i agree with White93se. it would be one thing if this was a racing story about the Z beating something and hitting 130+ in the process. The story shows us that with a decent driver it can outrun police, thats great and all but some of you guys are cheering like it awesome that this jacka$$ put the lives of others (including police officers) to get away with a STOLEN CAR. my 0.02 cents

Fck that thief or what ever he is I am giving props to the 350Z. Is not hard for a 3.0 to hit 140 right baggy? , Now I wonder a car with 60 plus more ponies and a 3.5 sitting in it can do. I mean me and dude raced on the highway very little time and we both hit a 100MPH in less then 6 secs thats from a roll.

That must be the tightest line ever I would be ****ed if I had a 350z that got stolen and was driven 130 w/o being broken in!! I'm glad they caught the thief.

Soon2BMaxed - I understand what your sayin.. and BTW everyday people take the cops on chases.. in vechiles ranging from broke down elcamino... to a chevy dualley

And I think "most" of us would not steal a car and run from the cops.. but your point is well taken
