It just sounds like you want a race with someone really bad.
Why are you ******* people out...Peace brother
You don't get this because you are new(at least relatively). Since it's 15" of snow out there I am not going anywhere for a while, I will just take some time to explain this for once so all you new comers can see where this is coming from.

My debate with Jim W. started more than one year ago. The beginning of everything was that he posted numberous of roadkills against GS400(can't be sure he was purposely ragging on me, but I have a GS400) and 540 with his '95 Maxima. So I reacted to it by claiming I have doubts, we had many rounds back and forth, but heck no result because no one knew exactly how fast his Maxima was, maybe it was a 13's car then sure he can eat GS400/540. Well, then he ran his car at Englishtown and did a 15.1, now it became interesting, because the problem is simpfied to whether a GS400 can run 15.1 in 1/4m(fyi I ran 14.6). I think the issue became pretty obvious for anyone with a brain.

Thus I think the bad blood started back then.
For him, he probabely really believe he roadkilled those cars, so even though the number isn't supporting him, he is pissed that I doubt him. For me, I took a lot of $hit when I doubt him, because obviously Maxima owners are gonna back up a Maxima owner, so now the number is on my side, I ain't letting it go easily either, I still take shots at it every chance I got.
It's simple as that. I mean think about it, if I talk $hit all day that my Civic can beat your Maxima, when the number spoke you ran 15.5 and I am in 16's, won't you make fun of me every chance you get?

Now to be perfectly honest, I have met Jim W. several times, he is a nice guy. I think the problem is, he has too much love and respect for his car, thus when he is on the street he probabely think everyone is racing him when they aren't. That's why he always have roadkills.

I see............

So really you guys are buds...cool.

I've had a Max since 96, but just haven't utilized the boards. I started mods about 3 years ago when things were really quite for this type of car. I love how much information is available to others with this forum and the internet...great stuff.

Oh...is Jim W. the same Jim of JWT?...Curious

Hey Woodear, did you get my post regarding the Lexus site for your GS4?

A buddy of mine has one and is modding it...he visits the Lexus Forum pretty regularly. There are some really good mods available for your GS4....ECU/Intake/exhaust/VB/steering ECU/torque convertor/Gears/supercharger in 3 stages/etc...

nah Jim W. has nothing to do with Jim Wolf technology.
I started modding the GS a lil too, had L-tuned suspension done, with 18" BBS RC wheels. Gotrice is hooking me up with the front spoiler, I got the steering ECU and TRD exhaust on order. That's about all I want to do with it.

Ah ha...ok cool.

Nice mods, do you visit their forum?

My friend has the Aristo's clear tail lights for the GS.
Which brand of Front spoiler are you going with?
There's so many different manufacturers...you know?
Check out these sites: http://www.gtautosports.com/ and
http://www.rodmillen.com and http://www.superlexus.com/ a 14 year old kid made the superlexus site(his mom's car)

Here's the site for Swift.....http://www.swift-racing.com

Hope you enjoy
Later
P.S. let me know which ones you knew about, and which ones you like.

yeah i read that forum once a while, boring, nothing like here, it gets like 10 new posts everyday.
i knew almost every site about GS tuning, except i didn't know the superleuxs.com, decent job for a 14 years old. for the most info i think rodmillen.com is the place to visit, they carry everythning except the swift-racing's own stuff.

i am getting the GReddy front spolier. for the whole kit, there are many many choices(as you can see on gtautosports), but the only pretty ones are Blitz and WIN. they cost $4k+, you can get replica for $1500, but the paint and installation is another $2000. i don't want to spend a significant amount of money on modding a car i won't keep, so i just get the $200 spolier.

I agree...A spoiler does alot in itself.
I think Rod Millen is now coming out with their own S/C to compete with Swift...Right?

yeah but it's a sissy SC adds only about 80hp, like the maxima's
swift is hardcore, you have a choice from 80hp-400hp gain, their own car is capable of 11's with full interior and street legal, that's very cool for a luxury sedan.

but the way i see it, the car is $50k, if you gonna shell out $10K for the stage1 SC plus all the ungrade needed to go with the SC, plus those tc and lsd and gears, you might well just get a $70k E55/M5.

Yes....or even get a used Viper with low miles for 45 or 50k. Then you're really in the house...a buddy of mine did that and had the viper for about a year and a half. Boy...that thing had some serious pull. It was like tunnel vision when you would hit it, reeling in and passing cars like they were standing still. Not a good everyday car though, one to have for the weekends. The M5/E55/CLK55 are awesome cars indeed. To Jim's credit...the new 380hp Audi would be nice too. like the new M3 as well...wooohooo
