I've run a few .500 and .501's.

I have a video of one of my .500 runs in the Max.

Mine was a .501 on my personnel best. It was a pretty sweet race because the 00 GT I ran cut a .505 light. I ran a 14.6@98 and he ran a 14.2@98. Damn 60'.

I average in the .6XX range.

probably because the tree doesn't run down all 3 lights consecutively. In NHRA the 3 light up and then go green so it's probably a .400 second delay in the changing of the lights

some tracks do this differently, my home track in Louisville gives you r/t's of .100 or whatever, anything under .000 is redlight , they figure the .5 in there beforehand if that makes sense - -

so when people say they ran a .262 without redlighting, add .500 and that is their r/t

so if it said that i won, i guess it was really a .762? in that case most of my runs would be in the 1.1's, and i dont think i was that slow.. either way the track i was at sucked, not enough traction

yes 1.1 is pretty slow but .5 second is so damn fast...i usually gun it when the 3rd light lights up b/c of the .5 second diff between that and the green light (which is the .5 reaction)...by the time you see that light and your car starts moving the green is lit. I generally see .500 to .600 times

Also called a "Pro-Tree".

My best RT is a .507. I've also hit a .508 and that ever so frustrating .499. Yes, that was in a bracket race and I lost because of that.

Your best reaction time is not as important as your average or what you do under racing conditons, that decides who wins.

My best is .503 but I usually run between .520 and .560

My best RT on a pro tree is .524 (.400 is perfect) and my best on a sportsman tree is .503 (.500 is perfect). Average RT is in the .560 area.
