Leasing an 03
Leasing an 03
Hey all, quick question for you who are knowledgable...
I've been looking at an 03 SE, pretty much loaded. Around 29.5$k sticker price. I'm trying to get my monthly payments as low as possible without dropping more than 2k$ as down payment.
The numbers I've been given are: 2000$/down, 48mo., 325$ range per month.
Is that any good, bad, mediocore? I've been to another dealer near me, but they were lowballing with a price of 309/mo, 1k down, 39 mo. lease. I called them on it and all of a sudden, "They can't do that", even though it wasn't more than 10 seconds after he quoted me that price.
I'm trying to do as much homework as I can, I'm coming from a classic American car background, and I don't know much about foreign rides, just that they hold their resale value a lot better than American cars...
TIA

I have never been a big fan of leasing because I drive 2,000 to 3,000 miles a month but those numbers that you have seem high.
That's what I figured. I love when dealers tell me, "now I'm going under invoice price, these are the deals I give to family". Maybe in-laws...
I test drove the SE, fully loaded w/out navi, and I loved it. The accelleration was nice, smooth ride, but a little noisy. No matter, I'll be pumpin' the bass with my RF system anyway
Anyone have any range of numbers that are generally considered "good"?
Also, perhaps some finance numbers... I'm sick of getting prices off of dealers

Well, first of all, maximas do not really hold there resale value. And second, I am paying 418.00 for my 03 max SE w/sunroof and leather with no money down, 5 yr agreement. If a lease is that much, just purchase it and then trade it in if you dont ewant it that long.
