i want to be able to trip on second

i have a 98 se 5 speed with stillen y.b.exhaust, jimwolf intake and i thought I"ll be able to trip on second but I cant. What else do i need besides a sc or a tt

Learn to shift fast...

My wife's 1995 Nissan pickup with the 4cyl and original 155k mile clutch can chirp second.

Shift fast, after I got my frankencar with apexi I was able to chirp third but my tires are a little on the worn out side.

it's not an equipment issue, it's a skill issue. learn how to shift faster, don't replace the shifter to MAKE you shift faster. moving the shifter is only about 10% of the total shift. The majority of a quick shift is clutch control and timing.

You can shift as fast as you want but if the clutch is worn, all it will do is slip. Unless ur riding the clutch pedal..

Just shift fast like everyone says... I can chirp 2nd in my dad's 2k sentra GXE.

HEHEHEHEHE.....somebody needs some serious help in driving a stick...
My auto even chirps it's tires when shifting to second at WOT. Maybe you should put ****ty tires on your max first and practice on that.

yo, i could drive a stick...just cant chirp...maybe i need an aftermarket clutch level 2 or somethin. I tried shifting QUICK and I did it quick but still cant chirp..not even close.....like the Type R they could chirp soooo easily

I can chirp 3rd in a stock VE 5 speed. If your car is draggin after you shift, you need a new clutch.
