Nissan started it, now BMW is doing it

Just got a thing in the mail today. Test drive "your favorite BMW" and get a pair of MicroVision sunglasses for free, $100 value. Ford gave $75 for testing the Expedition. You'd think that BMW wouldn't have to do it, eh? Imagine if you could get a freebie for driving the 350Z, they'd be lined-up out the door!

too bad Nissan doesn't do the Cancer Drive thing BMW does where you can go to a dealership and test drive "any" BMW for 1 hour

yah, you can drive any one and have them validate. But the 7-Series brochure came with it, or shall I say the car was tucked inside the 7-Series brochure. I'd like to check out that 6-spd auto. Realistically, I'd probably be in the 325Ci $ range if I'm lucky!!

The first season films were much better. I'm not a big fan of the new Z4.

Whats the deal with them? I guess overall to promote the cars, eh? When co's got money they can do alot of stuff. But the rest of us are all lean organizations, we just wait for the vendors to take us on golf outings and such! Sales people sure know how to show clients a good time...

Those BMW films were nice. I wasn't able to download them online, but a few months later BMW sent me a DVD with all five on there. Those DVD's are selling for $30+ on ebay.
I think its great to be able to get free stuff every once in a while from a companys promotional dept. For me, it started a few years ago with a $50 Savings Bond from Chevrolet for test driving a Prism. Then I got the Kenneth Cole Bag for the Altima and the Palm 100 for the I35. Just got my $75 Ford Debit card for driving the Expedition. My girl even got into it, she got the Picnic Bag for test driving a pathfinder.

mmmm no, the lines and shape is very different. You have to see it in person. I wanted to test drive the new Z4 3.0 when I was at my dealership getting the oil changed, but I sat in it and it wasn't very comfortable. Plus I don't like the idea of a big front end which you can't even see while driving.
