Pennzoil Engine Flush

I am thinking about flushing the engine when I do my next oil change @ 55k. I went to local auto store and couldn't find STP Engine Flush, but they carry Pennzoil one.

Are they the same? Anyone has experience on the Pennzoil one?

Thanks!

I would suggest steering clear of these type of flushes as they are are for themost part strong solvents. This is why they direct the user to run and drain within 30 minutes.
As an alternative, I would recommend a product called Auto-Rx which contains natural PAO esters and is very effective. They have a website which you can access by searching on Auto-Rx. I've also heard good things about Schaffers Neutra 131. It is much cheaper and is also a good product.

I'd seriously recommend staying away from this stuff. It doesn't make any sense to me if you're doing regular oil changes. I mean they have detergents in oil for this purpose, and putting this harsh substance in to clean the engine, I'd think it'd to more harm then good... I know in the past I've asked a few people and they said to stay away from it, esp at 55k miles. They mainly said it was for very high mileage neglected motors. + I know many people on this board dog the crap out of their engines and are still running strong at 150k+ miles, so I see no reason to bother with it..
Just my 2 cents, sorry if it sounds redudant it's 4:20 am..hey 4:20...hehe alright and woo i30+tcs+lsd+snowtires kicks booty in snow

According to www.motor-oil-bible.com, they say only to use Amsoil and Eagle something to flush your engine.

Thanks for the replies, guys. The reason I want to do a flush is from the experience of my previous car - '92 NX2000. On the SE-R (SR20DE ngine) mailing list, quite a few members had good expereince with the STP Engine Flush.

Virus, did you buy the book? Or you got the information from some other links, cause there is nothing at site except the book introduction.
