I think the meaning of RICE has been discussed too dead but on a different note what do you guy consider ghetto?

Ghetto is having a stereo system that cost more than you car.

Ghetto is having rims that cost more than your car.

 

ghetto is when your speach only consists of 6 consonants and 2 vowels.

 

..wearing pants that sag down to your ankles,

... reclining so far back in the drivers seat that people can only see the top of your head.

ghetto is just plain stupid.

 

I understand what a ghetto is but I see alot of people here very quick to jump and say someones car is ghetto. So what is it that makes someones car "GHETTO".
Because I still believe that everyone has the right to do what you want.

 

ghetto is when you have a car with steelies but with plastic wheel covers to make it look okay, but you take off the plastic cover to make it look like "racing rims" or for "weight reduction"

ghetto is when you can't afford a set of 4 rims, so you only get 2, and then put them only on the rear tires to make it look like you have RWD, but you have FWD.

ghetto is when you can't afford to mod your car at all, but you feel like you have to anyways just to be "part of the scene" so you go to pep boys and put on cheesy "cherry bomb" exhaust, and the poorest/cheapest quality alteeza lights that you can find.

ghetto is when you have steelies and can't afford any sort of alloys, so you get the wanna-be-alloy plastic/chrome wheel covers, which look even worse, and end up exposing a much larger put of the "cheese-graters"

ghetto is when you ruin a perfectly good NEW CAR with any of the above cheesy mods.

ghetto is when you seriously mod to hell and back an OLD car (with body kits, wings, drops, only a few performance mods), that even in its day was a below average performer, and would still get run over by even the more mild of today's SUV's.

There are LOTS of ghetto/rice cars in my area (DC).

Sure, it's your car and can do whatever you want with it, though. But don't mind the laughing because when you do the above, other people are going to think your car is rather ridiculous

Of course everyone has a right to do what they want. That's the beauty of owning your own car. But at the same time, people on the .org are consistently asking for opinions on how their car looks. They need to understand that they are going to get responses from one end of the spectrum to the other.
