Oh yeah? I'd like to see your buddy race my neighbor. His Chevelle runs 10's all motor w/ slicks. How about his wife's car? It's only in the 11's or so.

Then again,

I'm sure Brian wouldn't mind. He's supercharged too ya know? And if he can't beat him, then I'll get my friend's uncle's neighbor's sister's boyfriend's dad's car to race you.

If this goes down make sure you video tape it. I have not seen any Sprint production vids in a long time.

Well, I own a 1997 Maxima SE and a 2000 Civic Si and I don't really understand what you're talking about. A civic DX, HX, etc... a maxima will rip, a EX (single over head cam vtec) the maxima would rip.. but the 99-00 Si isn't really that slow. It can hang with your 4th gen and early 5th gens. I've run low 15's with my Si stock and I know many maxima's are around there too. So please let me know how you can beat a "modded" Si in flip flops, i'm up for a challenge

Humm oh yeah thats right all civics are slow But they are not nice cars and never will be but with the right parts they will run strong. I would never give up my Maxima for my turboed civic anyday but they are two different kinds of cars.

bolt on for bolt on.. a maxima with wipe it's **** with a civic any day of the week, this is no point in comparing them. it's like comparing a ls1 or lt1 against a maxima.

5spd Maxima vs SI, it's no contest really. With both car properly driven, the Maxima should come out on top everytime. I understand that an auto Maxima vs SI should be closer. The SI should edge out the auto Max IMO.

Low 15s stock? You got a slip for that?

I play with type r's in the 5 speed VE and murder the shiet out of SI's. I would love to see Brian race a supercharged SI, just so we have a video of a Maxima ripping the shiet out of a supercharged SI

Maxima VS Civic is not a fair race PERIOD!

We have a 6 cylinder and are comparing against a 4 banger? Come on now. If a 4 cyl civic is coming so close, what if they put a 6 cyl in a civic? It will destroy the max. But then again honda WILL NOT put a 6cyl in civic.

Dont compare max to civic caz it is not fair for the lil kids

Well from what I can see 99% of the people posted are being ignorant. This is my opinion on the si. I personally would never own one but this car is very quick. I raced him stock for stock against him and I won but it was on the top end. He has raced a brand new M3 and kept up till 5th gear and the M3 took over.Thats impressive. No I do not have a video but I was there personaly and the car is quick. Currently he car is under construction. He is rebuilding the motor to handle more boost. He is at 12psi right now. you also have to take into consideration the weight ratio to the two vehicles. Everyone should be more open minded to other cars. When a car is built right and it is a tight car. Granted the honda emblem but it is far from being riced out. We are not on here to bash other vehicles and bad mouth other members for there opinion because they think there car is faster than a SI. Yours may be but I dont know that till you race him. I mno stating his car wil beat anyone. It was mearly to say I would like to see him race a boosted maxima.

why do we have to be open minded? just because you like civics and you think they are fast, doesnt mean we have to.

and i bet that m3 he raced had a shtt driver or he wasnt trying. if you mean to tell me a 333hp car nearly lost to a 180hp car (est on boost) that is RETARDED!!!! you have to look at the shear numbers.

i love when people try to compare a boosted built 4banger with an endless barrel of aftermarket supplies at cheap prices to the maxima, with an intake.

Actually it has 160 approximate from factory. The charger from vortech ads 118 approximately.Other mods included are apex-i cat back vortech fuel rail system, blow off, fuel pressure regulator, secondary fuel pump, and dc sports header. It is a friend of mine and yes I do like the car. I did state in any other case do not like hondas. If you were to add up the mods, he is close to the 300hp range in a 4banger that weighs nothing. The owner of the M3 has always had other M3's so he knows how to drive them.
