As far as electronics, he was running JBL amps right? I mean, for a 75k car, you would think the amps would be a little better than JBL? No offense, I have a JBL 600.1 myself

Who do you think sponsored his car for the stereo?

Maybe I'm biased, my car is sponsored by JBL/Infinity(and I've got 4 JBL amps). But it sounds better than any previous system I've had.

And why does everyone call it a $75K car? He said that's what it was worth, he wasn't even selling it for that price. He added up the retail prices of everything, inflated some of them and added it up to the price of his car stock. If I do that, my car is worth $60K. I'll sell it for $55K, who wants it?

Good point. And as to the use of infinity/JBL electronics- while I am sure that there are better options out there, for the price, I have really liked Infinity speakers. Their Kappa series (and even the Reference speakers) are a good value for the price. Also, in terms of watts per dollar, the class D JBL amps are tough to beat -if it is even possible. And that is wihtout and audible distortion. I would be happy to run an all- JBL/Infinity system. 6.5" Kappa (or Kappa Perfect)components in the front, 6.5 Reference (or Kappa) mids in the rear deck (or coaxials, if you like rear fill) and 4 (yes 4) 8" Kappa woofers in a sealed box. All of this off about 600-800 watts of JBL Class D power...BTW, you Bassheads can run 2 12"s in the place of the 8"s.

Back to the original topic, I WOULD like the side-exit exhaust that the FnF max had...if I was going the show route. I did not even own a max when I saw that movie, but I liked the side-exit exhaust.
