those who did the home mad engine mounts....

i got a set of used motor mounts to do the urethane thing but i have a few questions.... when you fill them do you gut out all the factory rubber thats in there or do you just fill the gaps in the stock rubber with the urethane? my rear mount is the one that is busted but the rear one in the used set i just got is busted too.

also do you know the part number for the mix? thanks!

damn. thats what i just realized. you see, i thought we had to gut them then fill them completely not just the gaps. i wonder if i can do this when the mount is already busted. CRAAAAP. do you know what the actual name of the stuff is? i looked on that site but all i could ifnd were sheets of urethane, not the mix. thanks!

I did not try to "repair" a mount, so I suggest getting a new one. I think the rear one is the one that breaks for most people. Theres a writeup on the 4th gen FAQs that tell you how to do it and what material.

I think it could be done.

It'd take a little more work but if you gutted all the rubber out and made sure to keep the metal bushing thing exactly in the middle, no reason why that wouldn't work. That's what the PR urethane mounts look like. Good luck getting that rubber out of there, though. That **** is hard! If you can do that with the rear one, then you could fill the gaps on the front one and you'd be good to go.
