What problems could weak motor mounts cause?

Right now I'm suspecting that either I have 1) transmission bearing problems or 2) weak engine mounts. I have had 2 drivers side axle seals fail in less than 8,000 miles.

So, my question to everyone is could weak engine mounts cause leaking seals or other drivetrain problems?

I think Eric Wong and others have stated that persistent leaky output shaft seals on the tranny was a sign of bad bearings in the tranny. But I would certainly research your motor mount theory also. It's much cheaper and logical to fix the motor mounts(if broken) then to just dive into a rebuilt tranny.

Yeah that's why I'm exploring this option. I'm sure the ACT doesn't have a great effect on the mounts, and it seems that extra play would be a bad thing for seals and such.

It would also create a ton of wheel hop. Since the car already hops with good mounts.
