I use to have these a while back but I did not realize that they where covering up that real nice blue tint in my EUROLITE Bulbs and the fact of having to take them off at night got aggrevating. I got them off ebay for only $18.50 and sold them to a lady in my hometown for $20.00 hehe. I have to admit for a while though they were sweet.

The bike is a
1981 Heritage Special Classic Yamaha 400cc I painted it Emerald Green with Metallic flakes it only has 4,000 miles on it,it is in immaculate condition. I only paid $500.00 2 years ago for it is has a kick start and push button electric start. Yes and no on the covers yes they are illegal if you leave them on while driving at night they reduce your headlights ability to shine through and no if you take them off every time you drive at night,my point was I sold them because I got tired of takimg them on and off,I was just thinking of this past year and saw this pic....thank you for your comments though.....

illegal covers

2 questions. 1.-What state are they illegal in? 2.-What about the carbon fibre look, are they illegal in your area too?

I live in Ga and some peolpe have been pulled over and asked to remove them at night for driving and to me it is just common sense to remove any carbonfiber or smoked lenses they weaken your light output, now the clear ones are fine so it just make sense to take them off at night you will not be able to see anything,I don't think cops give you tickets they just ask you to remove them but if you continue and contiue to gett caught then they will give you one,but I just took them off everytime I drove at night this was about 5 months ago,you can get them but take them off "EVERYTIME" you drive at night(very aggrevating)this is why I sold them, but it is for safety reasons so you can see with your headlights and be seen by other drivers...... It did look agressive for a while don't make me miss them.......

yes....

they come with a piece of sticky tape velcro the goes on top of the headlight and inside the cover housing pop the hood to take off and put on,the pressure from the hood being closed keeps them on...easy as 1,2,3.....
