I would doubt that any 2k-2k1 auto is running that. On the other hand, how many 4g 5spds are still struggling to hit 14's modded, let alone stock? Not everyone is going to run that sort of time.

I'm not saying 5g autos are faster, why would I be getting a 4g 5spd if I believed that? I'm just saying not all of them with any driver is going to be faster. I plan on my 4g being able to whoop the **** out of my 2k in no time at all, just as soon as I'm competent with a stick again. The MEVI and JWT ECU won't hurt either.

That's ok, I don't plan on being stock for too long. Only 6 though?

I can hold the EVO, but check your e-mail.

Im going withda 97 MAX 5 speed

Hey i tell you this ...there is no way I would let that car whip up on me. I have a 97 Maxima SEa 5 speed manual transmission. 100 plus miles on it and it runs just as good as the day I drove her home brand spanking the babies bottom new...! I have achieved some amazing feats in this car of mine...it may be one of those special models, once in a batch of 5000...but there is no way I would believe in a million years that automatic could whip me. I dont know about the other model maxs, but if you can drive a 5 speed...dig in hard and show your wife whos boss... I have raced neck and neck with some of the lower end porsches, waxed thunderbirds, and ate up and spit out all kind of loses with their add on tail pipes... I just dont see it happening... im a few weeks from a complete stillen exhaust overhall and I cannot wait to find someone to pounch on...
Im voting for the gle or gxe...given the engine can still put up a fight...

I just dont see it happening... im a few weeks from a complete stillen exhaust overhall and I cannot wait to find someone to pounch on...preferable a new altima or max...

A 4th Gen 5spd will BLOW AWAY a stock 5th Gen automagic.

4G-5MT: 15.2 @ 92
5G-4AT: 16.0 @ 89

A FULLY MODDED 00-01 automagic like mc00max's will give a 4G-5MT a very good run for its money from a dead stop. But from a roll the 5spd would still have the advantage. The manual gives you much more control, and thanks to the close gearing, it doesn't matter what speed you start from, one of those 5 gears will allow you to haul azz. The 4AT gears are tall and wide with lots of gearing holes in them where it's be caught.

I have some UPDATED 4th Gen vs 5th Gen dyno comparison charts coming soon. Actually, it's called "Battle of the 3.0's" with the VE guys getting to play too

2K2's are the fastest.

But 95-96 GXE's are running about the same or very close. (I think the GXE is lighter because of interior and suspension)

97-99 had higher emission standards so they are a little slower than 95-96.

2K-2k1 are too heavy and will be really close to 97-99, but I would give the edge to the 97-99.

This is of course out of the box and with the same transmission.

97 GXE will own
