Today I spoke with Igor (yea...thats really his name) from http://www.clutchnet.com and he said he would be interested in making us a performance clutch.
It would be a custom unit which would include a carbon kevlar disk and upgraded pressure plate which can hold an extra 150HP+. This would be good for about 350HP on the 5th gens...so it could basically hold enough power if you added a Stillen Supercharger, all bolt-ons, plus a 40 shot of nitrous. This is considered a street clutch and would have a smoothe engagement and minimal chatter.
Pricing:
Carbon Kevlar clutch disk-
for a single unit= $185.00 ea.
for 5-10 units= $140.00 ea.
Pricing on the upgraded pressure plate won't be know until they see the design of the new 2k+ clutch. But you could use the stock pressure plate if desired.
We will need someone to send their stock clutch so they can fabricate these performance units. (hopefully someone on here has a blown 2k+ clutch) to avoid downtime.
These guys seemed pretty legit over the phone and they say they have excellent equipment. I think I'm going to give them a try....anyone else??
For more info call them @ (626) 448-7432.
Ask for Igor...tell them Adam referred you.
