Are there any headers made for the Maxima? Seems to me the stock pieces would be rather restrictive. We have more than one variety in Y pipes, B pipes, cats, mufflers and cat backs, yet we do not have headers. What gives?

Yo, you can get your A$$ kicked for asking that question...j/k

From what I remember, No, NO.. and NOOOOO.. they don't make them unless you custom them. The headers are so short that it would be next to pointless unless someone actually spent $1000-1600 (yes those figures have been estimated by other people) to do the job.
Hope this helps

It is not technically impossible to make headers for the Maxima... however if you look at the back of the engine bay in the 4th gen, you will realize that there is little to no room to make an effctive header. You would probably have to drop the rear engine mount and lift the engine up just to get that sucker in.

Making headers is an exact science. You can't just weld some big tubes together and call it a set of headers. Do you have a name for this "someguy" or is it just a muffler shop offering this? You know when people like DC puts a header to gether, it's gone under extensive dyno and RD dollars. You don't make an effective header with just one try.
