Should I get a Under Drive Pulley, and will it help regain any of the lost HP verses the stick shift maxima? Is it worth the money and possible install hassle? Thank you.

its better than a catback....

It makes about the same power as a catback does except you don't lose any lowend torque. Its a nice mod check the classifieds for UDP's so you can get it cheap.

Thanks. I got the G-reddy slightly used. Shipped and installed for about $400 total. Mostly for looks and sound but it did have a noticable gain. So the catback wasn't just for HP.

I heard the UDP is hard to install and could cause the car to leak oil. True? What is the HP advatage of a stick shift max? Just for example; would a UDP auto max all stock, stand a chance with a 5 speed all stock of the same year?

nope the only way an auto would be a 5spd is with a higher stall torque convertor and Don's VB mod. Other than that it will take more mods than that. The UDP on my car is easy to install I can do it like 1-2 hours. If you have a gear puller ($15 from autozone) its easy to remove. Once you break the crankshaft nut you use the gear puller and the pulley comes right off.
