Thoughts of the Ding King

For christmas I received the DING King from my GF's parents. I don't know if i should use it. I was wondering if anyone on the .org had used it or know of anyone who has used it. And what are your thoughts on it? Comments are welcomed!

I have not used it.

Why I believe it to be junk is that I saw it at both Wal Mart and Bed Bath and Beyond, about a $10 difference. Also, I have seen those so called "Dent Guys" fail to be able to remove a ding on my car and make it worse. Needless to say I didn't pay and they didn't expect to be paid. If you take a good look/see at a car panel, you'll see it doesn't simply "pop" out except in the rarest of cases (got pushed in dead center of a large panel or something). It takes alot of energy to cause a ding. I'd test the glue stuff on a junk car and see what it does to the paint if anything before putting it on your max. Good luck.

Let the pro fix the ding with the proper tools. I had a small ding on the side of front door when I took delivery of my new Maxima. The dealer fixed it for free. It took the pro less than a couple of minutes to fix the ding with the proper tools.

Thanks for all the input. I'll probably sell it on ebay to some fool, than use it and worsen the dings on my car.

IT seems like it would only work on large dents, and even in the commercial you can tell that after the dent is pulled, the metal is still uneven and slightly warped. The small dings that most of us would like to get rid of just seem to small for this device to be effective.

But I have used a similar device. When my brother (a long time ago) backed his car out of the garage he hit the side and left a very sizable dent in the door. I took a plunger and pulled out a lot of the dent, but that was a huge dent, and far from a proffesional job.
