What's up with that? I hate it when people especially the Honda boys give out the wrong info. An I4 Max? 200 hp motor? Ooh I have a 200 hp Prelude and he has a 200 hp Max, I beat him because I drive a Honda!

Geez, some Honda people think their cars are unbeatable. And the guy who said he was in his girl's Civic, and surprised that he got dusted? What an idiot! Even with my auto, many people have greatly underestimated me. Auto or manaul, the 4th gen. and especially the 5th gen. Maxima is not a car to be underestimated. Which sadly we usually do get underestimated. Well, we just have to show all of them what's up.

 

Makes the look on their face after you spank them all that much sweeter. But I don't think anyone needs to be talking sh*t to the Honda guys, that doesn't make it any better...we're made because we don't get any respect and then we don't show any, that's wrong. There are some damn fast Hondas and Acuras out there...it's all about who wants to spend more to go faster.

of a couple nights ago when I walked my friend's CL type-S in the GXE.

It was great. Another friend with an Si had his jaw dropped to the floor thinking,

"Damn, I can't mess with that sh*t."

 

I personally liked the guy who said that the gxe is slow as **** but that the se hauls ***... haha.


i don't for a minute claim to know everything about every car but damn, if you don't know what you're talking about please be quiet. =)

"I hit VTEC full force"


This never ceases to amaze me. Honda drivers think the VTEC is some sort of turbo or super charger. Like you can flip a switch and on comes the VTEC. I've handed a SI his own *** in my old mustang. 33 year old automatic takin down a 5 speed new SI, now thats sad.

 

What's funny is that he said VTEC with "full force". LOL.

Ok so I was comming home from the mall last night and I pull up next to a Maxima with what I can see just an aftermarket exhaust. So the light turns green he accelerates a little faster and I hit VTEC full force and I hear his engine rev real high and he pulls out about a half a car length and eventually thats how it ended, he won by a half a car length. Are those Maximas really that fast? I know they are v6 but damn, damn, be carefull when messin with a Maxima.

nah those maxima arent crap I used to race one almost everday it was five speed too a 99...theyre v6 with 200hp and were 4 cyl with 200hp (5thgens) I like racing them though...it sounds like you weent giving it your all

The day i get beat by a SI or a Lude w/ equal mods (even if stick), I will give my Maxima away for free.

 

Not all cars are the same, as for the drivers. I like the last two gen maximas, atleast the 5 speeds i've driven. But the thing is, I like them but i'm not scared of them.

THere isnt a reason at all why anyone should be scared of the Maximas. All we wanted was to prove a point that our cars are a worthy contender. I have admit though, the only Hon-Duh car i would drive is a Prelude or S2000. The S2000 are the sh*t!

doug, hlh0501: i had it made at a local performance shop. they're $6, so if you want one it'll probably be around $8 to ship it to you in one of those tube things.

 

Everybody is flaming that guy because he accidently said were instead of we're.... He meant 'we are' damnit.. the guy gave us props and everybody is bashing him because of a typo..

I think he means that 5th gen lude's have 200hp I4..

He never said Maxima's have an I4.. sheesh

 

I say just take a lost as a lost..........Im quite sure if Max with NOS or SC, would have beat him a "helluva" lot worse than a half car length or so, just suck up the lost, have fun and wait for the next time. But to speak up of NOS or SC is a hooker way out of a fair kill.

 

I have raced a few Vtec's before...But on how that one guy in the Honda forum posted on how he got beat by half a cars length .. that sounds about right but that Maxima didn't have any mods most likely.. When I would race them i'd usually win by the same length and I haven't got crap on mines... They'll usually have a intake and exhaust and what ever is hiddin.. You do have to give it up to Honda for that Vtec.. They rpm so dayum high...

Preludes the Sport Line For Honda. You guys act like Maximas are made to race. Keep it in the garage and drive em to your sons school.
But lets face it, this will never end. Drivers will always back there own car up no matter what, so none of you guys should take anything personal.
