question about fog lights

i'm planning to remove my old fog lights and put in some aftermarket ones shortly. but i don't know what kind to get... either projection or reflective (standard type)... i don't know what would put out the best beam pattern. i'm not looking to spend a lot... maybe $50-60. i'm just looking to add some better visibility... as everyone with stock fogs on a 4th gen knows, they suck. so if anyone could suggest one over the other, i would greatly appreciate it. thanks

After changing your foglights you should try the Type-R or the super yellow bulbs. These bulbs shine very bright unlike those cheap brands that actually decreases your visibility. YOu can check them out at Hyper-Shift.com

Are you looking for better visibility during fog conditions or under normal nightime conditions? If it is the latter, you ought to know that there is a big difference in beam pattern between a fog light and a driving light.

i'm just going for better overall night time visibility. i don't live in an area with alot of fog, so i guess my terminology wasn't correct. so if anyone can suggest a relitively inexpensive ($50-75) driving light to replace the stock fog lamps... and if not... maybe just what might be better for visibility... projection or reflective (for a lack of a better description).

The 95-96 fog lights are a pretty odd shape and size; I don't know of any lights that are made to replace them. How are you going to cover the holes in your bumper?

I've heard of some people going with overwattage bulbs, I wouldn't recommend it; it could do severe damage to your electrical system. You would get more light, but in the same fog light pattern since the light patttern is controlled by the reflector and the lens.
