KYB GR2 owners look inside...

Hey,

I just put in new GR2s combined with MaxSpeed springs and my ride is VERY firm to say the least. First of all, is everyone else experiencing the same with their GR2s? And lastly, will the GR2s last with lowering springs or will they begin to soften on me in like 10k miles? I hope not because I really don't feel like taking my suspension appart for the 3rd time. Oh, my car feels loose on straightaways for some reason, could it be because I set the most negative camber I could by pushing the rotors inward. Even then, the most the camber could be is like -0.9 or -0.8.

Peace.

Just changed the camber to a lesser value by way of free play in the rotors, and the car feels a little better on the highways. It's still very firm though. I hope the shocks don't die on me because of the lowering springs.

Peace.

I have Sprints and GR2s on my '91....they lasted about 1 year and 6 months(about 10-15k miles for me)...now they are mush!!! I'm not mad cause I didn't really expect them to last forever, most struts aren't made for "extreme" lowering(other than maybe Konis or AGXs)...I wish we they made AGXs for the 3rd gen, I'd be all over them!! I wouldn't say GR2s are bad because they probably kick *** on a stock or Eibach setup, but when you go really low, I wouldn't expect them to last over 15-20k miles!

That's not bad considering you have sprints in there. Are they 2" drop like the 4th gen ones?

Peace.
