I am trying to figure out the same thing for my I30,

Tint is completly illegal in R.I. so if I am going to brake the law I might as well have fun doing it so I am going to go dark like 15% all the way around,I had 15% on my Explorer and it was sweet because you could not see any thing through the window from the outside which is the look I am going for.35% is hardly notacible and does not do much so why bother?Unless you really want tint but don't want to get bothered by cops=which makes sense. So what ever floats your boat good luck!

I suggest choosing a percentage that will fit the interior of your car. For instance, some say 35% is too see-through, but if you have black interior with 35% smoke or bronze or basically any other color, it'll look as if it was 20%. If you are gonna break the law like I did, you might as well go all out. Also, try picking a color that seems to match the color of the car or trimming and won't fade to purple or some off color.

I thought you was in Georgia... If so you can go to 20% all around and not get into any trouble.

I got 20% tint and its just perfect. It's not too dark nor too light. I live in Nj and so far the cops havent given me any problems. 35% is too light but any thing less than 20% will be too dark.

You will not get in any troubles with 20% all around. Trust me.

Get 20% all around. When you get 35% in the front and 20% in the back, it looks very ugly. My friend did that and the difference is amplified significantly, I guess because his car is black and since the front windshield is not tinted and the back one is, the 35% on the front looks even more lighter and the 20% in the back windows looks even more darker. Get it? In other words, it don't look good.

when you get 20% all around, you're gonna be fine and the car will look good. I dont like too dark tints because I think that makes the car look kind of ricey. 20% is good.

In my opinion, a car looks better when there is only one percentage of tint used on the whole car.

I'll be going for 20% myself....

The legal percentage here in NYC is 70% on sides, 0% on front windshield and ANY on the back..... I'll be going for 20% on sides, 15% stripe on front windshild, and something like 15% on the rear windshield. I have heard of people getting stopped with 35%, but I have also heard of people that drive with 15% for years now and never got stopped. 2 different percentages look ****ty in my opinion, especially if you do the rear windshild and the rear doors darker then the front, its going to be really noticable because light will still be transmitted through the front windshield and the front doors aren't even as dark as the back ones. 1 percentage everywhere, or at least 1 percentage on sides. I'll be going for 20%, my friends 92 Camry has 35% and its pretty see through during the day, only dark at night.
