everyone's a moron!!!!!!

Truth be told I may be the moron here, but I still need help. I went to the stealership to get what I thought would be an easy find. Boy was I wrong. What I went to get is a small wiring harness that is located in the fuel tank and connects the power source from the sending unit to the pump itself(for my 95). The MORON at the parts counter said "it would be a special order item and it cost six hundred" and something. I give a light hearted laugh and say that's pretty funny, she wasn't joking. WTF! I said, "mam have you lost your mind our did I spend the last five minutes speaking jibberish(msp?) as I was trying to explain what I needed to you". She said she had "no idea what I was looking for" and the only thing she could find with a "plug and wire 'thingy'" was the whole wireing harness from the firewall back. DAMN you are stupid. Noone at the place could tell me the term that is used to describe what I was looking for. She said she understood what I was talking about after hearing me describe my situation to her manager in ENGLISH! Still no love...try a salvage yard they tell me. A-holes
So I get home and begin calling salvage yards to try to find the little plastic piece that plugs into the top of our fuel pump to provide power to the unit,. These guys are even dumber than rocks. I guess I don't do a very good job of describing what I'm looking for because I had an even harder time getting through to the few people at the yards that I called. Everytime, I said "I'm looking for either the whole in tank harness that connects the fuel pump to the power source on the fuel sending unit; or just the plastic plug that connects the wires to the fuel pump itself will do". Once again it sits inside the fuel tank. Here are some responses 1) "we ain't got them there cars hear: a wait, you mean dem maxmas" 2) "we got the 'whole' car but it don't got no pump"...this is after he told me they "don't serat dem parts frum dem parts", in other words you want me to buy the tank along with the fuel pump and sending unit except you no longer have the sending unit or fuel pump. DAMN IDIOTS!!!!!!!!!
I could go on but this is getting long and all I really need is the wires and plugs that connect our pump to the sending unit. Can anybody help this moron here.
Thanks

Are you a Bucs fan? Because last email I got it said all Bucs fans were morons

Anyway I would either take a picture of it or have them pull up the diagram up on the screen. I've go through a similar issue of getting a bolt or two and I had them pull up the diagram (forget the offical name...microfiche maybe?) and i just pointed to exactly what i needed. Good luck

Just because you know what you want(only reason is because you are staring at it directly) doesn't mean the parts people will know. Hell you didn't even know the name of it either. Plus it's not $ logical for Nissan to have individual connectors available. I mean how many times would somoneone come in and buy one? Hell, how many times would someone WORK on one and then BREAK one? Even less.

Go do a boneyard, crawl into a max, access this wiring and snipe the connector off and go pay. $5 at most.

When searching for parts for my wife's honda, I climbed up a stack of cars 3 high.

Hey Jeff, what IS the name for what I'm looking for?
I was just venting , because this pump swap has become more of a headache than I wanted to deal with.
BTW down here in FLA. most of the yards don't allow you to pull the parts you want. You have to convince them they have it before they decide weather or not it is worth their trouble to pull it for you or not. The only yards I could find in my area(50 mile radius) that will let you pull the parts yourself don't have any vehicales that late a model.

Chunger: You got it that's excactly what I need, anyone have one?
UM-cheap!

P.S. thanks everyone for the responses so far

What exactly did you break on the harness? Is it not repairable? I know it's going to be down in gas and stuff, but you can always solder and heat shrink if necessary. Just a suggestion.

Maybe Jay25 can call the one we have here locally. If they understand what he's looking for...

Didn't break anything, just changing the set up from the TT pump to the walbro. Can you contact Jay25 and let him know what I need. Chunger put up a pic of the wires and plug connectors that I need.
Thanks

They should be willing to turn the monitor so the customer can point out what he needs. Giving bogus info is the Home Depot way, half the people there just give out bad info if they don't know the answer. If they don't know, they should just say that rather than steer someone wrong.

hit em low, hit em high, and we'll watch our Eagles fly....
Fly, Eagles Fly, on the road to victory!

DOHHHHHHHH.......The eagles victory bus took a wrong turn and ended up crashing into a rogue band of bucaneers and they all lost their wings, so the story ends. SO SAD

Hey Chris, I guess you won't be needing that triplicate copy anymore huh? I'm sure it's pretty cold up there in Philly right now. Still congrates to your team for having a good year.

Now to the reason for the thread. Is there no LOVE from the org family here? I'm still trying to find the 'wire thingy' for my car. The pic is in the post below because i havn't taken the time to learn how to put several different responses in one post. Please help me this thing is starting to get frustrating!
