Passed smog over the weekend, totally unbelievable...

I had to go to a test only center, which the government/dmv picks for you and they are very strict, but with 254,363 miles on the odometer and a WSP CAI, WSP Y, Catco Cat, 2 3/4" B Pipe and Dynomax straight through muffler. It passed! The guy said it seems to be in spec and didnt recommend anything.

he did mention one thing:
"It is a Nissan bro, these things are beyond reliable"

He said there was a 280z in there with 367k on it and stock everything, down to the O2 sensor, he laughed at the guy and said this wont pass, but...it did and since then he has loved Nissans... yippy! I dont want to hear anyone say the Maxima is unreliable.

congrats

why wouldn't it pass though?

y pipe and the rest of the things shouldn't play a big effect on smog.. as long as you have a catalytic converter and it's in good condition, you should be good

milage is getting up there man

where the f- do you drive?

i remember a year ago u had just hit 200k

I thought it would fail, cause a couple of SoCal guys have failed with their intakes.

Plus with all the miles, I was sure I needed a new O2, Knock Sensor, I thought my timing was retarded due to bad/grounded VTC's, honestly I think it is in bad shape, but they didnt

I drive 115 miles to work round trip 5 days a week and sometimes that same distance on the weekends. I live in Riverside and the family and work is in Los Angeles/Orange County.

Cant beat the cheap housing in Riverside and the good neighborhood.

Pay $1200 per month for an apartment in the ghetto?

Or $700 to buy a 4 bedroom house in the suburbs

good points
and although i'm normally against commuting a long way anywhere.. (i've done this for a few months.. 180 mile round trips 3 - 4 times a week = 12k miles in 4 months) in your case, it's a plus..
i rather put the 400$ towards gas, repairs and mods.

Concerning that 280Z

That old L-Series engine will last forever. You just have to adjust the valves every oil change...JK

Still MV. Riverside is just my smog hook up. BTW: I was at El Gran Burrito the other day and you were working, I was going to pop a MCC flyer on your car to trip you out, but I didnt have any El Gran Burrito's Chile Verde Burrito and Horchata owns. If you need any tire balancing, allignment, tires,etc... go to Big O right there on Allesandro by the 215, ask for Robert and tell him Donald sent you, that guy has MAD hook ups.

Thanks, I need a new place to go to for that. I took it to Discount tires by Shakeys and wasn't satisfied with the alignment.

Oh no, How much did they charge?

Go to Robert for sure, and tell him you know me and he should hook you up.

PS: Watch out for his Old Mazda truck with Chrome Rims and Air Bags, it runs 11's

50 miles each way to work, how long does that take? Because 10 miles each way here in Phila. takes about 40 minutes each way, I can't imagine at minimum doubling that for your commute.

Wow, your houses are crazy cheap, I thought Cali was expensive. With a normal 20% downpayment those houses wouldn't even be 150,000 at $700 per month. Lot of us here pay more than 2 grand per month and our houses are still no newer than 35 years-old!

Good God, the prices you guy pay to have a roof over your head is crazy. My house in Kansas City is worth $145K and it's a smallish and simple 3 bedroom 1,900 sg. ft. ranch. I'm working in Clark, New Jersey right now and the equalivalent price for the same style house is going for $250-280K No wonder you guys make so much more money on the coasts.

One way in the carpool lane is 45 minutes, doing 75-85 all the way.

I am glad we bought our house when we did, now it is worth $160k after we bought it for $88k. The prices are still going through the roof, especially since we are close to the mall and schools and they are building more shopping near the area. I think in a few year we will cash out once it gets to around $250k tak the money made and slap it on a fat house or move to kansas or michigan and buy 200,000 acres like that Ted Nugent guy (Anyone else watch cribs?). This house is a 4 Bedroom 3 Bath, 2 Car garage 1850sq ft I believe and was built in 1985.

It's good to know that the Nissan engines can last and last. I was doing a 45 mile (each way) commute for a while after I bought the Max and I was hating it because of the milage I was racking up. Then there was that whole 'it took me 2 hours to get home today!' because of the traffic.

I did see Ted Nuggets' spread. He has a lot of land; the man has herds of buffalo on his property!

Depends on where in Kansas your talking about The 150 miles surrounding Kansas City is pretty occupied and you'd never be able to find a plot of land bigger than 2-3 acres. The big plots of land in western Kansas, where no one lives and is what most people think of when they think "Kansas", is mostly owned by rich cattle farmers in Texas.

A 4 bedroom 3 bath, 2 car garage 1850sq ft I believe thatwas built in 1985-1990 will run you ~190K- 270K depending on where you want to live in Kansas City.
