Have your suspension parts checked out. There can be a lot of things in the general area that could be causing some rubbing/grinding.
Have the throttle position sensor tested. This is used to determine shifting patterns on the automatics. If the voltages are out of spec, shifts will be too soft, too hard, too early, too late, etc. Get a manual next time
