Digital Dash

HELP! Anyone else have or/had a digital dash display unit in a Maxima (speedometer,Tach, Gas and temp gauges)? I purchased a 1990 Max with digital display and I am having problems with it staying on all the time...Anyone with any experience with one of these units, any information that you could share about troubleshooting would be great.
