dirty chrome finish rims

hey i was just wondering about how i can keep a good shine on my rims..they get dirty within a day and i dont really mind cleaning them but the only problem is everyone tells me not to clean them with anything cuz itll make the chrome finish rust or not shine anymore...i really need to know a way for the wheels to last longer than like a month or something...they say even soap and water will ruin the finish and that i should only use windex

windex has ammonia in it.. i wouldn't use that. mild soap and water and some elbow grease should do it.

I use Maguires Hot Wheels. It works well for me. I would say that you may want to think about going to a different brake pad with less dusting.

soap and water won't hurt chrome rims, i can't think of anything safer other than plain water. I used soap and water on a regular and every six months I use Mother's Brand wheel polish. It comes in a small red and white container. I haven't found anything that works better. Just my $.02.
