New best at the track!

Let's see...

1995 GXE Automagic, 161,000 miles
Cone filter
Almost no fuel
New 97 SE rims (got rid of the steelies)
No weight reduction

15.14 @ 90.4 mph

Timeslip (right lane)

I ran two 15.1 runs tonight and one 15.2

Wow, thats pretty good with a car with such high milage, and only cone filter. Thats what I am running but with 100,000 miles less. Maybe when you got your new rims, the tires you got helped alot. I want to go the track and see what I run before I blow up my auto.

isn't almost no fuel a bad thing for fuel injection cars? Maybe it's just my auto or a psycjological thing, but when i'm bordering on empty i feel less power then when i'm at around 1/3 of a tank...

try some weight reduction but then re-add that weight with enough fuel to be at around 1/3 a tank of gas. That would be a nice way of testing that theory.

Why would you assume that? From the hundreds of posts there are about shifting the auto they all say there is no difference whatsoever...
