Hello everyone,
my next oil change is coming up and I was looking at different grades that are available:
there is the regular all-season 5W30, then there is the 0W30 for extra cold weather (<0F), and 5W40 for summer. I was just wondering, would this make 0W40 an oil for spirited/performance winter driving?
Also if you vary the type of oil you put in by the seasons can you tell me what grades you use.

DO NOT USE 0-40W. That viscosity range is MUCH too large. Use the search feature. Topic has been discussed alot.

More like: 5W30 all year around is fine.
unless you live in Arizona. Then you can use 10W30, which is recommended for hot weather year-round.
