The ECU is a PITA to get to. The wiring harness wraps around the whole ECU. Anyway, he popped the cover and took a look at the main chip. Wrote some info down and he's going to research it more tommorrow. Good news, the flash ROM writer they have will work with the Maxima chip. Now he needs to find out if the stock chip can be flashed with the new data. Or a new chip will be needed. They have done 240sx and older 280Z. I'll let everyone know what he finds out. Between the efforts of UPRD and Autothority. There will be a chip for the 97-99 Maxima.
