ok my friend said it should be anywhere from 400- to 1500... keep in mind the 1500 $ one is the hot ticket - the best you can get - it gets mounted in the dash - it is a very sweet system - my friend has to see if he still is listed as a K40 dealer ...
ill try to get pics of it for ppl in my friends car .... it is really cool - and worth it for 1500 - but the lesser models are worth it too - something is better than nothing .. but you do get what you pay for ....

the autogear ... im just posting in response .... but then again - if your doin 120 and get laser or radar shot at you wouldnt you like to make the officer look at his gun like ... man what the @$%@$#% ... it works - i was in his car doin 130 or 120 when it happend - funny thing is he couldnt do anything cuz he didnt get a reading =P ... and since we were doin 130 we were pretty far ahead ...

 

thats rich. man, they can do anything they want. I had a friend pulled over by a State Trooper. When he began to verse the Trooper on his rights, the Trooper said, "well I guess I'm gonna have to settle for writing this ticket for your headlight out..." He said "my headlight isnt out!" The trooper responded "it is now" and bashed it out with a Mag light. He realized the gravity of the situtation and took the ticket. Scary stuff. Of course, I dont blame the trooper, this guy needed it if ever I've seen one.

becareful when u get the radar jammer tho. it's illegal in alotta places. i remember reading about one that mounts in the bumper or something.. i need one.. hahahaha. can't blaim a cop for doing his job tho..

 

there are some sites that u can buy plans to make a radar jammer they said the suplies cost about $15 to make and i saw a site where u can take a radar detector and make it to a radar jammer, cant remeber the site though

 

err..wreckless driving? are you talking out of your *** again bro?? going 130 the cop would pull out and beat you down even if he doesn't have a reading on the radar. you mean to tell me that from 130 you can slow down 60-70 mph in like 5 seconds? that V8 cruiser can hunt you down and write you up for anything he wants. are the windows tinted? lights cleared? air freshner in the rear view? head lights aimed correctly?
etc etc..the list goes on.

still beats a point on your record. i rather get 5 fix it tickets than one point on my L. ohh hi saw it on some catalogue for 50bux.. plus shipping. i forgot where tho.. and some cops are certified to eye the speed... i don't kno the technical term for it tho. but what the cops have to do is they take a test. two cars run adn they have to aproximate what speed it's going at .. there's 5 trials and all have to b within' 3mph guess.. sux if u get ticketd by one

 

i dunno man...wreckless driving is a misdermenor i think in NY...so that means a criminal act...ya know involved lawyers and etc. maybe arrest, lic suspension..not good.

seriously ... we were in his 850 doin 120-130 and just flew by - think about this though - he has to pack his laser away b4 he can take chase, it is hard to swallow but so is a 12-13 sec. maxima ... no? .... i didnt say we slowed down ...

I know in CA a cop is considered an authority in judging speed and he can still pull you over an write a ticket because he is considered an authority in judging speed. I know a couple people that have gotten tickets, both in their late teens, even though the cop wasn't using radar. They contested, but still lost.

 

its funny that the state and city/town government make so much revenue from tickets and what not - but where does it all go ??? i dont think that any certain precint goes through 500 boxes of pencils in one month esp with 20-30 pencils in a box .......

i think that they use and funnel the money into a statewide fund to help retain and maintain the Supply of Donuts in each precint state and city Wide across the country !!!
