Anybody import a car from Canada before?

i'm looking at a 240SX from Canada for a very good price, but i'm wondering how hard is it to import a car? i checked out the DOT website but it didn't say anything other than i'll probably have to swap out the gauges. no info on registering and the process of it.

I don't know how big of a deal it would be to import a car from Canada. I would contact the DOT and ask them where you can find information on that.

you shouldn't need to change the guages. My Maxima is from Canada and it reads in KM/H on the outside part of the speedo and MPH on the inside of the speedo. you just gotta get used to reading the inside of the speedo or you'll end up driving really slow. lol

I exported a car to Canada a few years back. You need an odometer statement, title and a certification from the factory or a liscensed garage (I cant remember) that the car's emissions are OK. Then off ya go.

Have you picked up the habit of inserting the word , "eh?" at the end of nearly all of your conversations yet?
