Car battery problems, need advice

Well on Jan 30th i can home and forgot to turn lights off, so the next day i went to start car and i got nothing. So i put battery charger on for like 6 hours and it started up fine. Now i havent driven it sence i charged it because i have mono and have been laid up. So today i went to start it and nothing again. You think because it hasnt been started in 2 weeks that it just drained or what. Its an optima yellow top and this is first time its ever gone dead. Ive only had it for a few months. Im charging it right now, how long should i leave it for, should i run the car for a certain amount of time after. Do you think battery is shot or just need to be charged strong and driven ? thanks in advance

I agree with jeff. I had the same problem and I went to autozone and they tested it and it was shot. So I got a red top. Also get your alternator tested at autozone when you go there it is free!! Good luck hope it works out. And if you have a new yellow top it should have a fee year or even three year replacement.
