Kev
I just listened to your car on the video. Check the wastegate. See if there is gas escaping at idle. If there is, then you need to remove the wastegate and put the little washer type thing that came with the wastegate. It is an adapter ring. Otherwise, your boost will suck! And it will seem more laggy! It sounds like your wastegate is stuck open. I had the same problem!

A turbo IS a form of boost...

Yeah, the car is dusty but what do you expect since it's been sitting in the garage for 3-4 months with the windows down. Hehehe
Joaquin: Let me know if you still have any questions after reading my email. I'm sure there will be questions.
Harold: I think the noise may be due to the way you and Nigel have the turbo WAY up in the engine bay. Matthel's car isn't quite as loud but his turbo does sit lower. Thanks for the advice... I know it will be VERY hard to hold back turning up the boost....... should have installed the boost controller where it isn't that easy to access.
Jason: The engine bay will take some time to bling bling out. It won't be everything... only the major parts.
VQMAN: Yes, I did all the work myself... even down to making the stainless steel braided fuel/oil cooler lines.
2kSeattleMax: Contact PFI/turbo97se or hlh0501 for the kit.
Kev,
Once again you have proven that you are the #1 5th Gen Max pioneer! Great job... its great to see this job finally done successfully on a 5th Gen Max and by a .org member. I will be in this club shortly. Dont get mad at me when I hit you with a bunch of questions over the next couple of weeks.... Congrats Kev!

Contact info
The best way to get ahold of one of our turbo kits is probably to contact Nigel (turbo97se) or through our website (pfispeed.com). If you like, feel free to send emails to me if you have any questions (bill@pfispeed.com). Our shop number is 970-377-2216.
Currently available, intercooled and non-intercooled turbo setups for 4th gen manual transmission cars, non-intercooled turbo setup for 4th gen automatic transmission cars. With some modifications, the 4th gen kit will fit 2000/2001 cars also. Intercooled upgrade is in the works for the automatic 4th gen car.
Regards,

0-100 video after 2 tanks of gas.
The turbo is plenty big, Stynki. It won't get bigger until the motor is beefed up. I'll go the East Coast when you come to the West Coast. Fair trade? Hehehe
